Belgium-based MATERIALISE S.A. has been a provider of additive manufacturing (AM) software and advanced 3D printing services for two decades in a wide variety of industries, including medical, automotive, aerospace, art
and design, and consumer products.
The project involved the construction of Europe’s largest and most modern 3D printing design and management facility. The scope of the project included the construction of a two-story production and warehouse building with welfare and sanitary facilities, where the first floor part carries out the process of production, processing and shipping of 3D materials produced, and the second floor contains technical rooms, warehouses and systems for dosing substrate for production.
The contract also included the transfer of equipment from the old plant to the new one, and the design and construction of two powder dosing lines.
The construction of a three-story, 2,500-square-meter office building with one-story link building was also part of the project.
