POL-MAK expands its facility in Iława
The POL-MAK Group, one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of decorative paper products, is expanding its facility in Iława. The warehouse and production hall as well as an office building will be developed as part of the project. We are the prime contractor and designer of the project. The ceremonial ground-breaking was held at the site.
The expansion of the Iława facility owned by the POL-MAK Group will significantly increase its surface area. The existing warehouse and production hall will be expanded from 2.6 to 13.1 thousand square metres. In addition, a three-storey office building will be developed, with approximately 2 000 sqm in floor space The hall will be heated by waste process heat from the existing section of the factory. The office building, in turn, will be heated by heat pumps. The roof of the warehouse and production section will be ready to accommodate a photovoltaic installation.

We are the designer and contractor for the project. Our contractual responsibilities also include the construction of a fire water pond and access roads.

– This is already the eighth investment we are carrying out together with WPIP Construction – says Przemysław Makowiak, co-owner of POL-MAK Group – We appreciate the fact that the company provides comprehensive support of the contracted project, and its experienced team of professionals is fully aware of the dynamics of both the design and the construction process, which translates into flexibility in adapting to the client’s needs. I am confident that our latest collaboration will have the effect we intend.

–We have been working with the POL-MAK Group since 2008, delivering contracts for them both in Batorowo in Wielkopolska and in Iława – adds Janusz Signetzki, CEO of WPIP Construction. – It is almost a model example of a business partnership based on good relations. Now we are returning to the Warmińsko-Mazurskie region to develop another project which testifies to the project owner’s robust growth.

The project is scheduled to be completed in March 2025, and on 18 June, a ground-breaking ceremony and the laying of the cornerstone took place at the site. It was attended, among others, by representatives of the project owner (co-owners of Grupa POL-MAK, Przemysław and Dariusz Makowiak), the prime contractor (Janusz Signetzki, CEO, and Marek Mielnik, member of the Board) and local authorities (Mayor of Iława Dawid Kopaczewski and Secretary of Iława Municipality Krzysztof Bądkowski).
