A facility of varying heights including two process towers (29 m high) for an Indian food film manufacturer.
The project was characterized by a high degree of complexity due to the nature of the production: this mainly involved the construction of reinforced concrete basements and process ducts as well as earthworks using piling, under unfavorable soil and water conditions.
The specifics of production and the client’s requirements resulted in the construction of a facility capable of storing thermal oil at 300 degrees Celsius. For this reason, the entire plant had to be divided into 13 independent fire zones with a modern gas firefighting system.
The world’s widest food film roll with a width of 9 meters was installed in the facility. The throughput of the entire production line is as much as 500 m/h of finished product. Eight overhead traveling cranes are used to move heavy film rolls, the largest of which has a lifting capacity of 15 tons!
