Biogas Plants

Huge potential

Poland has huge potential in biogas production, but it is still untapped. While there are about 18,000 biogas plants in Europe, Poland has only a few hundred. Meanwhile, as a country with developed agriculture and agri-food industries, we can produce 13-15 billion cubic meters of biogas per year. 
This is a fuel of the future.

Promising prospects

According to calculations made by experts, 10–12 thousand biogas plants could be built in our country, which would be able to generate such amounts of energy that would secure a large part of the domestic demand for gaseous fuel. This opens up a whole new outlook for the industry, especially since in 2030 Poland is expected to achieve a 21–23 percent share of RES in its final energy consumption.

Two business models

We specialize in the comprehensive implementation of projects on behalf of our clients, as well as the construction of biogas plants using our own funds for subsequent sale.

Obtaining funding

We obtain funding for implementation of biogas plants. This means both state subsidies and European funds in the form of grants and low-interest loans.

Acquisition of land
and substrates

We find the best locations for the construction of biogas plants, considering, among other things, the optimum connection to the transmission network and potential consumers of thermal energy. We negotiate with local substrate suppliers.

Technical consulting, project financial analysis

We help clients make the right decisions. Therefore, our experts provide technical advice related to the construction of biogas plants, as well as financial analysis of a project’s profitability. As a result, the validity of assumptions made can be checked and the return on investment period can be verified.

Obtaining the necessary approvals 
and permits

We are responsible for dealing with all formal issues in connection with the preparation for the construction of the biogas plant, the implementation process and obtaining an occupancy permit.

Implementation of project construction

We are responsible for ensuring that the entire construction process runs smoothly, and the implemented scope of works is carried out in accordance with the work schedule. We lead the project to the stage of obtaining the necessary approvals and required permits.

Handover for operation and project start-up

Using our expertise, we are responsible for biogas plant commissioning , verifying the efficiency of all equipment and the entire biogas production process. All this, up to the handover for operation of a fully functioning biogas plant.

Personnel training

We train the personnel who’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and ongoing maintenance of the biogas plant. All this to maximize its production capacity.
