PGE Energia Odnawialna is building a renewable energy service center.

PGE Energia Odnawialna has begun construction of a modern service center dedicated to servicing wind turbines and photovoltaic installations. It will be located in Płoty, in the Zachodniopomorskie region, and will provide a vital operational base for the dynamically developing renewable energy infrastructure in northwestern Poland. The investment will include a spare parts warehouse, a service and assembly hall, office space, and modern training rooms for technical support and service technicians.

“The wind turbine and photovoltaic panel service center will allow us to operate faster and more efficiently, as well as effectively operate and service our energy infrastructure in this area. We are collaborating with Polish companies in the construction of this facility, which is in line with the implementation of the local content strategy, that is of key importance to PGE Energia Odnawialna. Our goal is to ensure the highest possible level of participation of Polish companies in this and our other projects,”
said Daniel Kolasiński, Vice President of the Management Board of PGE Energia Odnawialna.

The facility was designed with comprehensive service and maintaining high availability of renewable energy installations in mind, as well as developing the competencies of our technical staff.

“The service center under construction has significant potential to reduce maintenance costs – we are optimizing operating costs while simultaneously developing our own technological and organizational skills. Our goal is to acquire new competencies and build a strong domestic base, which in the future could become a significant branch of the renewable energy sector in Poland,” – added Zbigniew Stępniewski, Vice President of the Management Board of PGE Energia Odnawialna.

Generalnym wykonawcą inwestycji jest polska firma WPIP Construction, posiadająca bogate doświadczenie w realizacji zaawansowanych projektów budowlanych dla sektora przemysłowego i energetycznego.

The general contractor for the investment is the Polish company WPIP Construction, with extensive experience in implementing advanced construction projects for the industrial and energy sectors. “We have already begun preparatory work, and foundation work will begin soon. The next stages will include the construction of a steel warehouse and service facility and a staff building. We plan to complete the project on schedule in the first quarter of 2027,” adds Piotr Włodarczak, Director of the Implementation Department at WPIP Construction.

The implementation of the project in Płoty represents another step towards developing a modern service infrastructure for renewable energy sources and strengthening the country’s energy security based on renewable electricity sources.

PGE Energia Odnawialna currently operates 359 wind turbines
across Poland with a total capacity of 832 MW.
